WORLD BOOK DAY
6th Mar 2026
Our whole school came together — in our pyjamas! — for a fun filled World Book Day assembly celebrating stories, imagination, and the joy of reading.
Pupils explored what fun really means and discovered how reading can be a hobby for everyone, whether you love comics, recipes, adventure tales, or anything in between. We also reminded ourselves that reading looks different for each of us — and every kind of reading counts.
After assembly, we paired up with different classes for a cosy session of ‘Tales and Toast’. Children shared their favourite stories while enjoying some warm toast… though as the book we shared together reminded us: “Books Are Not for Eating!”
What a great day of sharing stories, building connections, and celebrating the magic of reading.
