Safer Internet Day

6th Feb 2025

On Tuesday 4th February we celebrated Safer Internet Day.  The theme for this years Safer Internet Day is ‘Too good to be true? Protecting yourself and others from online Scams’.  Each class completed activities to help us learn about how to stay safe online.  These included how to be safe when we play games online, how to manage ‘pop ups’, sharing personal information and spotting a scam.  We also learnt about who can help us when we have difficulties online and how we can ask for help.  Online safety is an important topic for everyone and not just our children in school. Our parents have been invited to download and register with the Safer Schools NI app and to avail of internet safety training from NSPCC.  If you are interested in learning more about how you can protect yourself or your young people online please visit https://saferinternet.org.uk/ .
