P3 TRIP TO ARMAGH COUNTY MUSEUM
25th Mar 2026
Our P3 class had a fantastic morning at Armagh County Museum, where we took part in a Toys from the Past workshop with Sarah. It was a truly fascinating experience! The children were amazed to see—and even hold—real toys from long ago, some of them more than 100 years old.
We loved comparing toys from the past with the ones we use today. There were so many differences, but also some lovely similarities too.
Everyone got the chance to create their own peg toy, and we arrived back to school with some wonderful handmade planes and dolls.
The highlight of our trip was getting to play with the old toys themselves! We discovered that some of the best toys don’t need batteries… just imagination and a friend.
A big thank you to Sarah and the museum team for such a memorable and engaging workshop!
