P2 had great fun exploring the work of Irish scientist John Joly, who is known for his investigations into chromatography. Inspired by his work, we carried out our own colourful experiments using Skittles!
We enjoyed exploring colour mixing by watching the bright sweets dissolve in water and blend together to create new and exciting colours. As we experimented, we were both delighted to discover new colour combinations and proud to confirm some of our previous knowledge about how colours mix.
It was a fun and engaging way for us to develop our scientific thinking, make predictions, and observe changes right before our eyes!
