Our Primary 6/7 pupils enjoyed a fantastic cookery demonstration delivered by the Livestock and Meat Commission. We were delighted to welcome Margaret Anderson back to our school once again. Margaret prepared a delicious chilli beef pasta dish while teaching the children about the importance of choosing quality assured meat and looking out for the NIFQA logo when shopping. She also discussed the nutritional benefits of the meal and raised awareness of food hygiene, including the dangers of cross contamination and how to prevent it to keep ourselves safe and healthy. The class listened attentively and thoroughly enjoyed sampling the tasty dish at the end!
