FAREWELL TO MR DOYLE
4th Feb 2026
Today, our School Council led a special farewell assembly in honour of Mr Doyle, who has been part of the Clare Primary School family for the past 14 months. During this time, he has expertly guided us through the absence of our former principal, Miss Lindsay, and the interim period before Mrs Hylands joins us later this month.
Our pupils did a wonderful job and presented Mr Doyle with some gifts. We were also delighted to surprise him with special video messages from two former Leeds United players — Harry Kewell and Stuart Dallas — a fitting tribute to his dedication to his beloved team!
Throughout his time with us, Mr Doyle has truly become part of our school community. He learned every child’s name, took time to celebrate their achievements, and immersed himself in all aspects of school life.
We have all benefited greatly from the experience, wisdom, and leadership he brought to Clare Primary School. His guidance has helped our school continue to grow and flourish during a time of transition.
In his farewell message — accompanied by his teddy friends — Mr Doyle shared that Clare Primary School is “just right,” comparing Clare Primary to the Goldilocks story in a way that made everyone smile.
On behalf of everyone in Clare Primary School and our wider school community
Thank you, Mr Doyle, for everything you have brought to Clare Primary School.
We wish you every success and happiness in your next chapter.
You will always have a place in our Clare Primary family.
