This year we have been enjoying an exciting partnership with the Amma Centre, and as part of this work, P6/7 recently welcomed acclaimed children's author Declan Carville to our school!
Declan shared fascinating insights into his world of storytelling, bringing to life the magical setting of the Fairy Glen and captivating pupils with his stories, including The Magic Harp and Valentine O'Byrne, Irish Dancer.
The visit was highly interactive, with pupils taking part in creative writing activities and exploring their own story ideas. It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm, imagination and confidence shine as they developed animated characters, plots and magical adventures of their own.
A sincere thank you to Declan for providing such an inspiring and memorable experience. The session sparked creativity, encouraged a love of writing, and may even have inspired some future authors among our P6/7 pupils!
